The Street Evangelism ministry is an “outreach” ministry, striving to put forth the unfeigned gospel of Jesus Christ out and on to the streets of San Diego in a Christ honoring vocalization of His Spirit and truth.
This ministry is very evangelistically minded and heartfelt towards the souls of all men, women, and children, both saved and unsaved, religious and non-religious.
The intent of “reaching” out to these people in our community is
- To reconcile lost souls to God through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ the Saviour,
- To restore fellow believers to a fulfilling relationship with God through His Son
- To reprove the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment by the Spirit of His Son
- To relieve the afflicted with the compassion of Christ
- To reap in the harvest of souls by the commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ,
- To resound the praise due His name before all people of all nations.
Street evangelism is “not” an opportunity through a ministry to belittle, ridicule, condemn, blemish, slander, scorn, or display hatred in anyway to any person.
It is of one the greatest opportunities and privileges to display one’s love for God before all, by expressing God’s love that was shed abundantly upon all through the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ who was crucified for the sin of the world and mankind.
This can be expressed through many opportunities of service for our Lord and unto Him when either handing out gospel tracts, singing hymns, displaying banners, inviting people to “come” to church, carrying scriptures, preaching vocally, or standing with those who do these things as a light to those who stand in darkness.
Christian, if you are Christ’s, then Christ is yours, and He is the light of the world. Would you consider all that He has done for you, and look with us to a lost and dying world of sin that has no cure if it hears not of the Christ who died for the penalty of sin which is death, and having no sin in Himself rose again from the dead being the resurrection unto all who believe in Him? While looking to this ministry as an opportunity to serve your Saviour I encourage you to look upon the lost as “…Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things…” After Jesus had risen from the grave when He overcame sin for all and removed the sting of death through the death of the cross, He commanded his disciples in Matthew 28:16-20 “…Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…”
People need to know, we are commanded to go, please settle it not in your heart with no or a so, but as a disciple show a yes with a yield when you go blessed in the field.
